Quality Control 8211 Jurassic 5 VINYL

In June 2000, after nearly seven years since their inception, esteemed underground rap collective Jurassic 5 finally released their debut full-length album. Despite high anticipation, \’Quality Control\’ delivered on par with Jurassic 5\’s outstanding EP from three years prior. The album clocks in at almost an hour, featuring DJ Nu-Mark and Cut Chemist\’s skillful turntablism alongside the group\’s signature harmonies and individual solos. Tracks like \’Lausd\’ pay homage to hip-hop classics while exploring themes of media and adulthood responsibility. Jurassic 5\’s lyrical prowess shines on message-driven tracks like \’W.O.E Is Me (World Of Entertainment)\’ and \’Contribution\’, showcasing a level of eloquence and compassion previously unseen in rap.
