My Resignation – Vinyl LP

Vinyl LP pressing. On their sophomore album, My Resignation, London-via-Australia dream-pop duo Geowulf have a lot to say. The followup to their debut, Great Big Blue, represents an overall holistic growth. Loneliness is discussed at great length with brutal honesty; learning not only to accept it but also to love the space it provides. They also tackle the difficulties navigating the expectations we put upon ourselves and others. Pepper in life’s heartbreaks and breakups, and it proves to be a beautiful mess. If teenagers have all the coming-of-age movies and novels to make sense of life’s do’s and don’ts, My Resignation is for the twenty-somethings.

It\’s always the mindset of an artist to try and work on getting better with each album, an onwards and upwards kind of thing,\”\” says Star Kendrick In every possible way, that is the essence of Geowulf on My Resignation. The sophomore record from the London-via-Australia duo of Kendrick and Toma Banjanin is an effort of growth not just musically, but personally. Their development from 2018\’s Great Big Blue to this point is as much a testament to their progression as artists as it is their blossoming as individuals.
