KNEECAP – Fine Art LP

Like KNEECAP themselves, Fine Art is fiercely intelligent, consistently hilarious, and genuinely thought provoking. It seamlessly merges Irish with English and satire with socially conscious lyrics. The West Belfast trio have drawn praise from the likes of Elton John, Massive Attack, Paul Weller, Annie Mac, and Fontaines D.C., while sparking political outrage and grassroots adoration in equal measure. The group have taken the world by storm following their viral 2025 Coachella performance, and they have been described by The Times as “Exciting, funny and anarchic, with a rebellious edge that has not been seen in rock or rap for years”. Their BAFTA Award-winning fictionalized biopic, starring the band alongside Michael Fassbender, received critical acclaim at Sundance before showing in theaters nationwide and streaming on Netflix. This limited certified gold vinyl edition celebrates Fine Art reaching Gold sales status in Ireland.

When Belfast’s KNEECAP – aka Mo Chara, Mogla Bap and DJ Prova – entered the studio with producer Toddla T in the summer of 2023, they quickly decided to scrap everything they had already prepared and ‘build’ a pub together. The Rutz is currently a figment of their imagination, but across Fine Art’s twelve tracks, and the interconnecting moments between them, it comes to life vividly, providing the perfect backdrop for the cast of characters that appear throughout. Like the band themselves, Fine Art is fiercely intelligent, consistently hilarious, and genuinely thought provoking. It seamlessly merges Irish with English and satire with socially conscious lyrics. It’s genius is to immerse you in a world thus far unrepresented in modern music. The group also recently took this year’s Sundance Film Festival by storm with their self-titled Rich Peppiatt directed semi-biopic film starring Michael Fassbender.
