Condition

The Armada Orchestra is the self-titled debut from this Canadian funk and soul ensemble, released in 1975 on the Contempo label. The record sits at the intersection of funk, soul, and early disco, featuring a full orchestral backing laid over danceable grooves typical of the mid-seventies sound. It is a relatively obscure release that reflects the era’s broader movement toward lush, rhythm-driven arrangements aimed at the dancefloor.
