Condition

Here’s a noteworthy Canadian pressing of Poco’s often-overlooked 1981 effort, “Blue And Gray” on MCA Records. This album marked a fascinating transitional period for the pioneering country rock outfit, coming during their brief reunion with founding member Jim Messina and showcasing a more polished, radio-friendly sound that reflected the early 80s production aesthetic. While it didn’t achieve the commercial success of their earlier work, tracks like “Widowmaker” and the title cut demonstrate the band’s continued ability to blend heartfelt harmonies with their signature laid-back groove, even as they adapted to changing musical landscapes.
